Used Canon EF 100mm F2.8 Macro Non-USM S/N – 1301681N

This Canon EF 100 mm f/2.8 Macro Non-USM lens was the original prime lens made by Canon Inc. This was the first EF 100mm Macro lens that fitted the EOS camera system. There are three other versions, the original, a second that adds a USM autofocus motor, and a recently released L series version that incorporates Image Stabilization (IS). This is the original series. It is a macro lens, which means it can reproduce an object the size of the image sensor, known as 1:1 magnification. This Canon 100mm Macro Non-USM lens can focus to infinity like regular lenses. Making it appropriate for use as a portrait lens. It is a terrific lens, beautiful, buttery-smooth bokeh for portraits, and super sharp for macro. The autofocus is slow compared to the USM version, but for serious macro work, you will rarely use AF, so to me, that is not an issue. This lens can be used with an optional extension tube (not included), which increases the maximum magnification to 1.19× (EF 12 II) or 1.39× (EF 25 II). In these cases, focusing at infinity is sacrificed, with maximum distance reduced to 1002 mm (3.3 ft) and 606 mm (2.0 ft).
