Anamorphic lenses accomplish this by vertically stretching a wider image onto your phone’s sensor. 

This lens increases your lens’s horizontal field of view by 55%, which gives videos an aspect ratio of 2.76:1, as compared to the spherical, or non-anamorphic ratio of 16:9 (1.78:1). When used with strong light sources, anamorphic lenses can also create unique lens flares. Your video is further enhanced by a multilayered broadband optical coating that is anti-reflective, as well as the lens’s 52mm thread mount, which allows for external filters to be used. This item does not work with ultra-wide lenses and is only suitable for devices with an M mount interface.
