Producing files at optical resolutions of 600 dpi and accepting documents as small as 5 x 5 cm and as large as 21 x 609 cm the DS-870 digitizes letter-sized documents at a rate of 65 ppm in simplex mode and 130 ipm in duplex mode. Additionally, the scanner has an impressive daily duty cycle of 7000 pages per day. For streamlining workflow, the unit comes with Epson Document Capture Software, which lets you create searchable PDFs and scan to online storage accounts such as Evernote, SharePoint, and Google Drive.
