To help deliver its performance, Bushnell binoculars employ anti-reflection multi-coatings and protective exterior coatings on the lead-free glass lens with BAK4 glass on the compact roof prisms. The optical coatings work together to maximize light transmission through the light path, resulting in bright, sharp, and clear high-contrast views with accurate colour fidelity and crisp resolution, even in challenging conditions such as at dawn and dusk or when viewing across vast wide-open spaces. To further improve the observational experience, the Engage X binoculars are designed with long eye relief and comfortable exit pupils that make looking through them for long periods comfortable with reduced eyestrain.

Protecting the optical components is a rubber armour accented with textured palm pads that provide a sure and secure grip.
